9 Month Photo Shoot

Here are Rilynn's 9 month pictures! I ended up taking them & having my friend Courtney help get her to smile & look at the camera. I LOVE fall & we had so much fun with these pumpkins! We marched out to the pasture, plopped her down & started shooting =)

This is probably one of my most favorites! She was laughing & showing those teeth =)

My other favorite picture!! The pumpkins & her little outfit look so "fall" like. Mimi would have loved these pictures...she got her this little horse outfit at the Dixie Nationals. I'm glad she got to see it on her...it was the last outfit she saw her where when we said our goodbyes in the hospital.

We couldn't end the session without stopping by the barn =)

The next day I set up a little "makeup" session in her room. It was just something fun & girly looking. I had the tutu & little crocheted sole-less sandals for awhile & hadn't used them yet for photos yet.

I love this one where she is reaching for the makeup brushes..

Having a moment to voice how upset she was that I wouldn't let her put the brush in her mouth...

Another use for makeup brushes...so soft of super cute toes!

I love this little sweeta & was happy with the way these turned out! I take lots of pictures but this is the 2nd time I've done baby photos. I don't know how to do editing the "correct" way, but messing around here & there I was able to achieve some sort of decency =)
Can't believe we are almost ready to do 12 month pictures!! This year has gone so fast.

9 Months!

                                                                           Rilynn
         so far you...

*weigh 19.8 lbs & are 28.5 inches long! You only gained 2 oz in the last few weeks because of getting so mobile
*still nurse about 4-5 times a day. Drink water & a little juice from a sippy cup when needed or eating solids. You eat pretty much anything we eat...but you HATE bananas! I cannot get you to eat those...ever!
*have 8 teeth!! The 2 other bottom ones have just started poking through so they aren't very noticeable yet but I just can't believe how many you have already...
*sleep anywhere from 6-8 hrs a night with usually 2 naps during the day...we are working on cutting out the night time wakings & going back to sleeping through the night
*love to play with new toys & books. You are still very curious & like to dig through drawers, bags & anything you can reach to see "whats in there"
*are known for your "growl" that has become a fun little game for you. Lots of "talking" goes on & you love laughing! I see a personality taking shape...you grunt a disapproval if you don't get your way =)
*wave bye bye & can say "bye bye" when you wave too. Say Mama, Dada & Pah Cah (patty cake) You try to mimic anything we say to you & it usually sounds about right!
*are very mobile...we have to watch what you pull up on & you crawl all over the house. Can't get up or down steps but we catch you "working" on it. You are a little dare devil...sometimes you even try to stand up on your own in the middle of the floor but I'm not ready for you to walk yet...=/
*are in size 3-4 disposable diapers & still in medium size pre-folds with M/L covers...also in one size all in ones (bumgenius)... you have cut down on the use of diapers considerably & we are saving a lot with our cloth dipes. We pretty much just use all in ones at home...
*wearing 9-12 mo size clothes depending on brand, 12-18 month sleepers & size 2 shoes
*are very good with people but starting to be a mommy's girl. You don't go to everyone like you used to but you have done well the last couple times you have stayed with babysitters. As long as you aren't left alone you are usually fine
*still like to know everything that is going on & hate to be left out of things! If ANYONE leaves you a lone you cry or go on a mission to find out where we are
*are showing independence & strong will! Greyson has been playing with you very well but sometimes somewhat rough (as boys do) & you sure tell him what you think of that!
*love riding & being outdoors...every time we ride on the kabota you fall asleep!
*do not like hats...headbands & sticky bows you can deal with for the most part, but forget about hats! We hope to break this before super cold weather comes around...
*got your 9 month pictures take by mommy & courtney! You did SO good & had so much fun
*did not enjoy your 9 month check up & you didn't even get any shots... I think you were over the atmosphere & the time it took just to see the dr. Next visit will be a doozy...

What we are looking forward to:

*Going to the our Fall Festival Party & Trunk or Treat
*First trip to the Pumpkin Patch
*Seeing Nana & Papa early November!

PA Vacation

After everything we have gone through this summer, it was nice to head to PA after our little florida getaway. Being with my family had been planned for awhile, but it was just something extra special that we needed.
A really nice couple in my dad's church offered to let us fish in their stocked pond. It was so much fun!!

Greyson had a blast fishing with Papa...he was a little bit cranky in that he wanted to do everything himself, but the fish would bite every time you dropped the line into the water, so we were afraid he would lose the pole!

We got enough to add to some other fish we had in the freezer & had a nice little fish fry. Rilynn liked being outside to watch the action =)

Later in the week, my brothers family joined us from Idaho & we all got to go to the zoo! It was such a pretty little zoo & we had fun seeing all the animals.

The animals were very alert & awake this time...most of them are asleep it seems when we are visiting, but this Tiger walked right up to the glass!

Of course one of the highlights for Greyson was riding the train through the zoo =)

After the zoo we ate at FireBirds-- it was very good! We ended up doing a little shopping afterwards & Matt scored a new suit. Fun day!

The morning we were all supposed to head to the lake, it was pouring rain. We thought about canceling our ski trip, but decided to hold out & PRAY for good weather. We actually loaded the car in the rain & went through flood warnings on the way to Tionesta!

Of COURSE as soon as we pulled into the parking lot...the sun was out, the rain had stopped & we had clear skies the rest of the DAY! I serve an awesome God! Greyson had so much fun swimming & skiing & Rilynn loved spending time with Nana sinking her toes into the sand!

The high light of the day...skiing with Mr. Rhett!

Matt's a regular pro now =) He always has so much fun.

After we got home & got the kids baths...we put the 2 older baby girl cousins in matching owl jammies from Nana..they are soo cute!! These girls had so much fun playing together too! It will be neat to see them running around after each other the next time we are all together.

Over the weekend, we finally got to meet the youngest girl cousin, baby Everlee! She was so tiny here & such a little doll baby. We had fun holding her & it was so nice having my younger brother & his family with us too... we were finally all together!

We love shopping at the Outlets. First time out with ALL 4 Grandkids!! We should have had Nana in the picture.

This trip was also our last visit with Uncle Butch. Here he was meeting Everlee =) We had some special moments & good laughs. He went to Heaven a few weeks later. It was peaceful.

We treasure these moments with our family...you never know when a visit might be the last time you will see a loved one! I am grateful we had the chance to say our goodbyes & that all the kids & grandkids got to be together.
Our family is growing! We are so excited for the new little members God is giving us. Greyson & Rilynn are able to be close to their Nana & Papa even when we live so far away & we are looking forward to another trip up north very soon!!
